Great Lakes Safety Training Center is a non-profit charitable organization located in Midland-Michigan. We provide Workplace and Occupational Safety Training for contractors and help promote and create safe communications though partnerships with businesses and local high schools. The foundation for Great Lakes Safety Training Center of today was built in the mid 1950s. Known then as the Midland Area Safety Task Force, the name was later changed to the Midland Area Contractors’ Safety Council. The current name was established in 1995. Then, as now, the major focus is developing and communicating worksite safety best practices for all members.
